Active skills replace attacks or give major effects, and Passive skills give minor buffs.

Skills are divided into Active and Passive. When an Achillobator gets a random Mutation, one of the inherited skills will be randomly switched out for another random skill, and this varies accordingly with double and triple Mutations. When bred, the offspring will have two skills from each parent, randomly selected. Every Achillobator tamed from the wild will have all these randomly selected from the pool of creatures that spawn on the map it has been tamed on(as an example, an Achillobator tamed on Scorched Earth can have the Skill based on the Fire Wyvern, but one that has been tamed on a map where Fire Wyverns are not present cannot). These each represent abilities based around various existing creatures from the base game(but DLC creatures are included). When this is accessed, four squares with icons of creatures will be on screen, with one being colored green(Passive), and the rest being white(Active). When an Achillobator has been tamed or raised from an egg, a unique tab will appear right below its ancestry tab when accessing its inventory. Once it has been immobilized, it will not fight back, and only attempt to run. Another danger is getting attacked by surprise from another creature while taming it. In this situation, it can easily shred through a defenseless player's health. The only real threat is if it attacks while the player has already safely approached it and then provoked it. If the player is not to kill it immediately, it will flee very far, so it is best to trap it, however note that none of the trapping items can be used on it. If one wants to kill an Achillobator, it is best to use a Fabricated Sniper Rifle or scoped Longneck Rifle. Its rarity also makes this hunt even less worth the time waste. The rewards are not worth chasing down this creature with immense speed. It is best to not even attempt killing an Achillobator. That way, if it flees, it can be found again. It is also viable to trap or hold it, attach a Transponder Node to it, and then leave the area and come back to initiate taming. Be wary of aggressive creatures or other players nearby, as they could easily ruin your tame. Approach it, and feed it its preferred food until it finishes taming. Only then will the Achillobator not flee instantly. To tame an Achillobator, the player must be under the effect of Element Brew, be holding no items in their hands, and have no tamed creatures in the vicinity(including shoulder-mounted creatures).

Behaves exactly like the regular Achillobator and other R-creatures.Īchillobator slashes the target with its claws.Ī heat vision effect is layered over the rider's vision.Īffects the Achillobator with the same Predator Vision effect as the Snow Owl. It has some stripes on its back, and its Element-enhanced part now glows purple, symbolizing Rockwell's corrupted Element. Behaves exactly like the regular Achillobator and other X-creatures. It has glowing spots and stripes throughout its back. The X-Achillobator spawns all throughout the Lunar biome in Genesis: Part 1, albeit still very rarely. Behaves exactly like the regular Achillobator and other Aberrant creatures. The spots throughout its body glow in the dark, and it is radiation immune. Its most notable features are its Element-covered underside and eye, whose "veins" stretch to other parts of its head and neck.Īberrant Achillobator replaces regular Achillobator spawns in Aberration and the Eldritch Isle Cave in Crystal Isles. Its body is covered in feathers, and there is a notable concentration on its arms and tail. If the player is very close and pulls out a weapon, runs out of the Element Brew effect, or any tamed creature enters the vicinity, it will viciously kill the player and then run off.Īchillobator greatly resembles its other raptorial cousins, like Deinonychus and Utahraptor, and especially the former. When in this situation, the Achillobator will stand completely still and stare at the player as it approaches. The only time it will not flee is if the player, completely alone, approaches under the effect of Element Brew, and with no weapons in hand. Achillobator will flee if any player or tamed creature goes even slightly close to it, and it will run very far very quickly.
